  1. Follow these steps to pair a Beats Pill 2 with an iPad Air 2. First turn on the Beats Pill 2.0 by pressing and releasing the power button, then press and hold the round 'b' for three seconds until the button blinks. This indicates that the Beats Pill 2 is in pairing mode.
  2. From the home screen on an iPad Air 2 open Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and turn the Bluetooth option on.
  3. Underneath select Beats Pill 2 from the list of nearby devices to pair with the iPad, shortly afterwards it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
  4. You can now play music on a Beats Pill 2 wirelessly from an iPad Air 2. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application that can play audio will bring up a list of devices where you will be able to toggle between headphones, the loudspeaker and a Beats Pill 2. When the Beats Pill has been paired with the iPad Air 2 the round 'b' logo will glow.   1. These instructions show you how to hook up an iPad Air 2 to a Beats Pill 2 using a cable to play audio. Firstly locate the headphone socket on the top of the iPad Air 2.
  2. Make sure the Bluetooth speaker is turned off then locate the IN port located at the back of the speaker to the left of the power button.
