  1. The following instructions describe how to pair the iPad Mini 4 with a Beats Pill XL. First you need to turn on the Beats Pill XL by holding the power button, then press and hold the round 'b' logo for three seconds until the light quickly flashes. This indicates that the Beats Pill 2 is in pairing mode and ready to connect to the iPad Mini 4.
  2. From the home screen on the iPad Mini 4 open Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.
  3. From the nearby devices list select the Beats Pill XL, shortly afterwards it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.

  1. These instructions show you how to connect the iPad Mini 4 to a Beats Pill XL using a cable to play music. Firstly locate the headphone socket on the top of the iPad.
  2. Turn the Bluetooth speaker round so the back is facing you making sure the power is switched off.
  3. Access the IN port by pulling then rotating the rubber cover to the left of the 'beats pill xl' logo. The IN port is found between the charging port and OUT ports.
  4. Connect the headphone socket on the iPad Mini 4 to the IN on the Beats Pill XL port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [5].
  5. From now on any audio from the iPad will stop playing on the speaker and play on a Beats Pill XL instead.
