  1. The following instructions describe how to pair the iPad 2 with a Beats Pill XL. First turn on the Beats Pill XL by pressing and releasing the power button, then press the 'b' for three seconds until the light quickly flashes. This indicates that the Beats Pill 2 is in pairing mode and ready to connect to the iPad 2.
  2. From the home screen on the phone choose the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and turn on the Bluetooth option.
  3. Underneath select Beats Pill XL from the list of nearby devices to pair with the iPad, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
