These instructions assume that you have installed Apple iOS 7 or greater on an iPad Air 2. Ensure you have download version 1.34 or greater of the latest Jabra Solemate firmware from the official Jabra Solemate support site [2]. After you have set up the speaker you can turn off the default 'Solemate is connected' announcements by holding down the Volume down button when turning on the Jabra Solemate until you hear 'Sound prompts off'.

- Follow these steps to pair the Jabra Solemate with an iPad Air 2. On the right hand side of the bluetooth speaker locate the power button, there are 3 settings - off, on and bluetooth. Starting from the off position slide up the power switch all the way to the top and hold it until the indicator light starts flashing blue and you hear the announcement "Go ahead and connect me, use the Bluetooth setting on your phone".
- From the home screen on an iPad Air 2 open Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.
- From the list of nearby devices select the Jabra Solemate, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
- The Jabra Solemate and the iPad Air 2 are now ready to be used to play music. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application on the iPad which plays audio will bring up a list of devices where you will be able to toggle between the headphones, loudspeaker and the Jabra Solemate. In the future you can turn on the Jabra Solemate and it will automatically connect to the iPad Air 2 without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the "Solemate is connected" announcement.

- From now on any audio from the iPad will stop playing on the iPad speaker and play on the Jabra Solemate instead.
- After turning on the speaker you will hear a "Bluetooth off" announcement, this means that the speaker will only play audio from the line in port . The Jabra Solemate and the iPad Air 2 are now connected and can to be used to play audio. [AD]
